Radio is my Passion!
I may be a new amateur radio operator, but I am also a passionate promoter and supporter of the practice. There are so many aspects to this amazing hobby that I really do believe there is something here for everyone. My amateur journey is focused on helping others understand where they fit in to the hobby and getting them excited about stirring up the airwaves.
Join me in my quest to present this hobby as the fresh and exciting scientifically-fascinating craft that it is. Amateur radio is much more than monitoring an old transceiver all day. It’s an experimental platform for applied science and social discipline. It’s an ongoing study in human psychology. Amateur radio is fascinating for a million and one reasons. Shout it from the rooftops and tell everyone you know!
With new digital technologies like direct keyboard chat, email, and other forms of text messaging, the hobby appeals to a much wider audience. The problem is that many of these folks don’t know ham radio has something for them. All they know is the image that’s been portrayed for the last half century or more.
My goal is to promote the wide-ranging and modern-day aspects of amateur radio to a diverse and growing audience. By opening our clubs to everyone, and making them feel safe, welcomed, and supported, we will grow the hobby, grow our clubs, and strengthen the human bonds that build the very communities we all seek to be part of.
I blog about topics related to ham radio but I also discuss other areas that I find interesting.
Thanks for stopping by!
Cheers and 73,
